Hydrangea arborescens ‘Annabelle’

Hydrangea arborescens ‘Annabelle’, also known simply as ‘Annabelle’, is a white-flowering hydrangea. The leaves are light green and soft to the touch. This plant blooms in large, spherical flower clusters that appear from June through August. The exact color of the flowers is white with a hint of lime green. The inflorescence is actually too heavy for the relatively weak stems, so support is often needed. Heavy pruning in the spring encourages the formation of large flower clusters, but if you prune less, more—though smaller—flower clusters will appear, which improves the plant’s stability.
