Terms and Conditions for Returnable Containers

Below you will find the terms and conditions that apply to the return of packaging. By agreeing to our quote and order confirmation, you have accepted these terms and conditions. After you have completed the return form, our logistics department will contact you to discuss the options and the next steps.

To ensure smooth processing, please keep the following in mind:

1. Please keep the delivery list(s) for your order. You will receive these with every delivery, both digitally and on paper. The delivery list specifies the quantities and types of containers. We only accept returns of containers that we delivered during the same delivery season. For more information on container management, please visit our portal at portal.mvandenoever.nl.
2. Once we receive the completed return form, our logistics department will contact you as soon as possible to schedule a pickup time. Our standard procedure is to pick up the packaging within five business days. If no suitable return trip is available in your area in the near future, we will schedule another time in consultation with you. This allows us to minimize unnecessary transport and the associated environmental impact.
3. Collect and stack the containers as shown in the example photos. Place the containers in a single, easily accessible location and remove all labels and jars. If the containers are not properly prepared or packaged, we reserve the right to refuse the return shipment or to deduct handling fees from the container credit.
4. The collection of packaging must be justified from both a logistical and economic standpoint. For addresses in the Netherlands, Belgium, and the Ruhr region, a minimum return value of €500 therefore applies. This minimum threshold takes into account both transportation costs and sustainability considerations.
5. After a return, we inspect the packaging. You will receive a credit memo only for accepted items that we previously invoiced to you. Due to costs for administration, transportation, depreciation, and processing, the credit amount is always lower than the original sales value. The return form indicates next to each photo the amount eligible for credit.
6. You can also return the packaging yourself. This is possible on weekdays between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. In that case, please indicate in the ‘Comments’ field that you will be returning the packaging yourself.
