This Oriental plane tree is a Dutch cultivar and is also called the mulberry plane tree. This type of plane tree is also recognizable by its beautiful, distinctive peeling bark and is a characteristic tree in Italian and French squares. In summer, the “minaret” provides pleasant cooling shade due to its compact branching. And in winter, this tree has nice ornamental value due to its characteristic round, prickly fruits.
