This colorful cultivar is notable for its beautiful bronze-red leaves that turn green later and yellow-green again in fall. This stands out strikingly against the grayish-white bark. This large poplar can grow as tall as 30-35 meters. The ‘Robusta’ is very resistant to (sea) wind. Birds like the Oriole and Woodcock are very fond of poplars.
