Rhus typhina | Velvet tree | Vinegar tree

The velvet tree or vinegar tree is a deciduous tree. Its typical downy candle-like flower panicles do not bud until June, so much later than other deciduous trees. Very decorative for the (small) green spaces, parks and gardens.
