Viburnum burkwoodii | Snowball

Viburnum burkwoodii, called “snowball,” is a medium-sized semi-evergreen shrub with a rounded upright shape. Snowball blooms profusely in April and May with strongly fragrant white flowers arising from pink buds. The leaves are glossy, egg-shaped and dark green in color in summer, bronze in spring and yellow to orange in fall. Viburnum likes a position in full sun or partial shade and a slightly acidic to neutral soil. The plant is well hardy, requires little pruning and is wind tolerant.
