Viburnum plicatum ‘Mariesii’, the Japanese snowball is a viburnum that grows in stages. Beautiful white flowers appear from May to June, followed by red berries. This viburnum species is not evergreen but develops red to purple-brown leaves in fall. The growth habit of this plant is very broad. The mature height of this ornamental shrub is around 1 to 2 meters, but the plant can grow up to 3 meters wide.
