Viburnum tinus is an evergreen and winter flowering plant with pink to white coloring blooms. As early as November or December, the first white-pink flower heads appear, defying the first frost of the year. The flowers are very lightly scented. After flowering, black drupes follow in the right conditions.Viburnum tinus requires normal, well fertilized soil, not too wet in winter and preferably sheltered from frost. Should winter damage occur, this shrub recovers very well. Pruning is not necessary but can be done, such as cutting away frozen branches or after flowering in April.
